Session

This session looks into how a regenerative initiative can touch on multiple communities, create spaces for culture and cohesion and link both residents and visitors to discover the diversity of different neighbourhoods within the city in a way which promotes cohesion and sustainability.
Formed in 2005, Atlanta BeltLine Partnership is a nonprofit organisation that supports and bring to life several projects aimed to enhance the destination. As cities gradually try to understand what their future will be like after the pandemic, many recognise that tourism had grown too fast and had been too disruptive. In some of the leading and most successful tourism destinations globally, there had been a sense of ‘chasing the dollar’ and leaving the citizens, community, cohesion and balance behind as secondary considerations.
