The team at Visit Dalarna is looking forward to sharing the initiative they have started as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a regional tourism board in Sweden, they have succeeded in helping tourism businesses with conversion during the challenging and difficult months of travel restrictions and lockdown.
They will share insights about how the demand for safe experience will increase. They expect customers to be even more demanding and requiring companies to respect the Swedish Public Health Agency's recommendations. The project aims to develop a tool that enables organisations to comply with the regulations and communicate regularly and when necessary with the customers.
Furthermore, the project aspires to implement other initiatives to develop innovative solutions that will support the long-term development of businesses. Those companies taking part in the project will be able to develop a prototype that will be tested in the destination and approved before the actual launch. The project considers the overarching objective of connecting the culture industry and the tourism industry.
Parts of the activities will be carried out by the collaboration partner, the College for the Tourism Industry, which is responsible for the development and implementation of the business development program “Kurbits Innovation”.
