Emergency Communication Using AI Chatbots

In this session, Akemi Tsunagawa explains how to use AI to connect in real-time with residents and travellers during emergency situations, a feature that has become increasingly important with the coronavirus pandemic. Akemi will introduce Bebot CrisisConnect, a chatbot developed to combat the pandemic in Japan providing multilingual support to travellers and foreign residents. Akemi Tsunagawa, is the Founder and CEO of Bespoke, Inc. – an AI startup founded in 2015 and located in Silicon Valley and Tokyo.

Bespoke is known for its AI-Powered Customer Engagement Platform for the travel & hospitality industry to drive ancillary sales and to help with crisis management. Bespoke has developed Bebot CrisisConnect to share health and virus-specific information, such as symptoms to look out for, and what preventative measures to take. Bebot has been adopted by the Japanese National Tourism Organisation with outstanding results, contributing to keeping travellers informed and safe.
